Thuy: The News business and the Eschaton

Our newsroom is morphing fast. In fact, there's been a steady stream of change to life in the newsroom and especially to the Web team - people shifted around, people with new sets of responsibilities, our holiday season with the seasonal personnel that it entails, growth in Web and media, the new Vox. As a newsroom we're coming to terms with of revolutionary new media and what it has taken out of print - but we're also able to recognize what the print medium does best.

I have to admit that I'm freaked out but also excited for these changes. It opens up a slew of new opportunities for professional development. It's our standing on the edge, waiting for the world to come over the hill, waiting in the mind of God, waiting for the eschaton.
